This website is the donation page of the Kyle Rescuer campaign. It is run by:

We are a charity recognized by the IRS under section 501(c)(3). In these policies, “we” and “us” mean SOS Animal Help, Inc.

Kyle Rescuer is an independent animal rescuer in Brazil. Kyle does not hold the money. Our work in Brazil is carried out with our partner organization there, the Brazilian association SOS Animal Help, which helps us deliver the programs but does not receive your donation.

1. What we collect

• From you: your name (optional on a one-time donation), your email, your WhatsApp number if you type it in, the details of your donation, and anything you write to us.
• From the payment providers: confirmation of the payment, a transaction ID, and depending on the provider the name and email on the payment and the last four digits of the card. Your full card number, security code and PayPal login go straight to PayPal or Stripe and never reach our servers.
• Automatically: your device and browser, the pages you visit, the time, your IP address and the approximate country it suggests, the campaign link that brought you here, and the cookies listed in our Cookie Policy.

We do not ask for sensitive information such as health data, and we never make automated decisions about you.

2. Why we use it

To process your donation and keep a record of it; to send you receipts and answer you; to send you updates about the animals, if you asked for them; to prevent fraud and resolve payment disputes; to measure which advertisements bring donations, so less of each donation is spent on advertising; and to meet our legal, tax and charity-reporting duties. Where the law asks for a legal basis, we rely on carrying out the donation you asked for, our legitimate interest in running and protecting the campaign, your consent for the updates you chose to receive, and our legal obligations.

3. Messages

Receipts and confirmations always go out. Campaign updates by email or WhatsApp go only to people who asked for them, by ticking a box that is never pre-ticked. You can stop them at any time by replying STOP or writing to us. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply.

4. Who we share it with

We never sell, rent or trade your information. We share it only with the services that make this page work: PayPal and Stripe, which process payments; GiveWP, the donation software on our own server; the provider that runs our campaign records system; Meta, through the Meta Pixel, to measure our advertising (the pixel does not receive your name, phone or email, and any contact details sent from our server are scrambled first); VTurb, the video player; the services that estimate your country and the day’s exchange rates, which see your IP address; our email and hosting providers; our accountants and lawyers; and the authorities, where the law requires it.

5. Where it goes

We work between the United States and Brazil, and these services run on servers in several countries, so your information may be processed outside your own country. We use the transfer safeguards the applicable law requires, and you can ask us for a copy of them.

6. How long we keep it

Donation and payment records for 7 years, for tax and charity reporting. Messages with you for 3 years. Website and advertising data for up to 12 months, then deleted or anonymized. Cookies as described in the Cookie Policy. Anything relating to a dispute stays until it is resolved.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to confirm what we hold, give you a copy, correct it, delete it, send it to another organization, stop using it for advertising, or withdraw a consent you gave. Write to us at the address above. We answer within 30 days, and if we say no we explain why and you can ask us to look again. You can also complain to your data protection authority.

Most US state privacy laws, including California’s, apply only to for-profit companies and so do not apply to us. We offer these rights to everyone anyway, as our own policy.

8. Security

The site runs over an encrypted connection. Card data is handled only by payment providers certified to the card industry standard. Access to donation records is limited to the people who need it and protected by individual logins and two-factor authentication. No system is perfect, and if there is ever a breach affecting your information we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

9. Children

This page is not for children, and donations must be made by adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think we have, write to us and we will delete it.

10. Changes

We publish any new version here and update the date at the top.
